Egg & Basil Toastie

Egg & Basil Toaties are so scrummy and are way tastier than plain old Eggy bread.


You'll need the ingredients as shown in the picture above! Cover the bread with some Basil pesto, salt and pepper as required and cut the middles out ready for the egg. You can also use the Tomato pesto if you prefer, my personal favourite one is to use the Basil pesto.


Add some butter to the hotplate or frying pan, and spread it around where you'll lay the bread. Once the bread is in place, crack open the eggs and add one per slice to the cutout section. Leave to cook and don't forget to cook the middles too, you know, waste not want not lol... Cook on a medium heat!

When the whites of the eggs are half cooked, carefully flip the bread over and let the eggs finish off and hey PESTO lol, you'll have your delicious Egg & Basil Tostie...Enjoy!
